Kenny's got pedal power
WHEELCHAIR athlete Kenny Herriot is gearing up to be the first Scot to pedal 4000 miles across the United States on a specially designed hand-cycle.
Edinburgh-born Kenny, 47, will cycle from San Francisco to New York in a charity event called The Great Lemonade Ride.
The cycle will start at San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge on Monday, with Kenny crossing from west to east across 16 states before finishing in New York on Sunday, June 7.
Kenny will be accompanied by his cousin, John Snedden, who will drive his support vehicle, and a friend. He will cycle an average of 89 miles every day for six weeks.
