Impressive rise in Scots blood donors
THE number of Scottish blood donors has risen by 10,000 since an awareness campaign was launched a year ago.
Health chiefs now want to build on this with a similar rise in the year ahead. Blood donor week 2009 began yesterday and the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) will use this to launch a month of activity.
