Hospital for elderly in spotlight
PLANS for a new hospital for the elderly will go before locals and patients as part of a three-month consultation.
Health bosses will present plans for the Royal Victoria at public meetings at St Stephen's Church, where officials will be on hand to answer questions.
NHS Lothian announced earlier this year that the current facility in Craig-leith would close and move to the Western General, making up part of an envisaged "urban village" at the site.
Director of strategic planning and modernisation Jackie Sansbury said: "We hope people will come along to find out more about the planned new building and have any queries they may have about the proposals answered."
