Chopper beats fog to save mother-to-be
A RESCUE helicopter yesterday flew in treacherous weather to airlift a heavily pregnant woman to hospital, coastguards said.
The coastguard aircraft flew through thick fog to reach the woman on the island of Sanday in Orkney. The rescue attempt was triggered after the woman, who was 31-weeks pregnant, went into labour sooner than expected.
