Capital charity wins HIV award
WAVERLEY Care has received an award at the National African HIV Conference.
The Edinburgh-based charity was presented with the award for its work with African people affected by HIV in Scotland. The award was presented by journalist and filmmaker Sorious Samura.
Waverley Care was the only organisation to be presented with an award at the Make A Difference ceremony, which also honoured five individuals for their work.
Accepting the award, Martha Baillie, manager of Waverley Care, praised the dedication and commitment of the charity's staff.
