C difficile scare ward open again
A HIGHLAND hospital ward has reopened after an outbreak of Clostridium difficile.
Ward 4C at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, was closed on 20 January following the discovery of the infection. Eight patients contracted C difficile.
A spokeswoman for NHS Highland said said: “There have been no new cases since Friday 27 January.
“As of today, Ward 4C has one patient confirmed with Clostridium difficile, who still has symptoms; they are being looked after in isolation. The ward was reopened this morning.”
