Health: Special K

A NON-INVASIVE WAY OF DISCOVERING a person's individual food intolerances with instant results, the K-Test claims to test for intolerances to 40 commonly eaten foods through your fingertips.

As many as 45 per cent of people suffer from the symptoms of food intolerance. This test, developed by research company Kymatika, uses bioelectromagnetism to discover whether you are unable to process certain foods. Researchers found that foods all have a defining "resonant frequency" and when certain people are exposed to these frequencies, they experience a negative effect in their electromagnetic field. In other words, a food intolerance.

• The K-Test, 25, is available in pharmacies, including Superdrug, and gyms (www.k-test.co.uk).
