Hallowe'en is looming once again
THE WIND is howling – or is it a werewolf? An eerie haar hangs in the air and pumpkins with slit-cut eyes glow menacingly in the dark, but little Hallowe'en monsters and ghoulish party guests can easily be subdued and wooed with spooky treats.
Serve pumpkin pie, poison apples or trick or treat goodies in a bubbling cauldron or a mushy inflatable pumpkin.
This year's haul of Hallowe'en goodies includes proof that crackers are no longer just for Christmas, while spiders, bats and pumpkins all make their traditional annual appearance too. There are also a few extra terrifying treats on the market.
If you don't happen to have a family vault in the back garden, pick up a 'Buried Alive' tombstone from Asda, complete with clawing zombie arms and fake blood, or show guisers the way by lighting up the porch with all manner of glow toys, including BOO tealight holders from John Lewis or character torches from Sainsburys.
