Group gifted £94k to tackle climate issues
AN environment group in Linlithgow has been awarded almost £94,000 to tackle climate change.
Linlithgow Climate Challenge has been granted 93,845 of Scottish Government funding over the next two years.
Chairman Peter Roberts said: "My feeling is that this award is a strong vote of confidence in what has been achieved so far in raising the awareness of energy use and climate change factors."
The money will allow for the creation of a full-time co-ordinator's post, as well as the delivery of seven environmentally-friendly projects in the area, including researching options for renewable energy, engaging community and business groups, and developing local food, waste, recycling and transport strategies.
