Grim wedding day discovery at university
POLICE are hunting a killer who stuffed a body believed to be that of a Yale University graduate student behind a wall in the laboratory where she worked.
Connecticut police found the body of Annie Le, 24, on Sunday, on what was to have been her wedding day, in a crawlspace between floors.
The building is in the medical school, about a mile from Yale's main campus, accessible only to Yale personnel with identification cards. A network of 75 surveillance cameras covers every door.
"We're not believing it's a random act," said police spokesman Joe Avery.
The Yale president, Richard Levin, offered support to Ms Le's family and her fianc, Jonathan Widawsky. The couple had been due to marry on Sunday in Long Island.
"Family, fianc and friends now must suffer the additional ordeal of waiting for the body to be positively identified," Mr Levin said.
