Green pupils digging deep
SCHOOLCHILDREN from South Morningside and Pentland primary schools have decided to dig in and get green fingered all for a good cause.
The pupils were helping to launch Scottish Biodiversity Fortnight at Edinburgh's Braidburn Valley Park, with the aid of Scottish Wildlife Trust Projects manager Will Parsons.
This year, to promote awareness and appreciation of Scotland's unique biodiversity, hundreds of events are being planned between now and 11 June.
They include talks, guided walks, pond-dipping, birdwatching trips, nature reserve open days, wildflower planting days, nature photography, painting workshops and exhibitions.
