Green group in cash plea
A CITY environmental group has called on fellow organisations to apply for emission-reducing government grants.
Greener Leith urged people to apply for the Climate Challenge Fund cash injection.
The scheme gives money to groups who have plans in place to make an organisation or an area more eco-friendly.
A Greener Leith spokesman said: "Grants are designed to help communities reduce their carbon emissions. That might mean planning and organising in the first instance. However, it will always mean taking direct action to reduce carbon emissions."
