Green group makes cash plea for travel vision
AN influential environmental organisation in Edinburgh has urged councillors to back a bid for cash to improve the area.
Greener Leith has called on politicians to apply for money from the Scottish Government in an attempt to make Edinburgh a "travel demonstration town". The group said the money could be used to upgrade Leith Links or to improve a cycle path between Leith and Portobello.
A spokesman said: "The money could also support a host of other activities from 'green travel maps' to improving walkways and green spaces.
