EARNEST American tourists expecting a jaunt through Scottish history may be alarmed at the sight of a naked hippie covered in blue woad. But this is the Fringe, when nature’s eccentrics feel free to leave their caves and lay their batty visions before the world. The self-styled Professor Benji Ming has a feel for Scottish history, but no great talent for comedy. His impression of Alan Hansen reading the Scottish battle statistics raised a smile but the general tone was wearily pedantic.
