Gray calls for Labour unity as he launches bid for leadership
EAST Lothian MSP Iain Gray was today launching his bid for the Scottish Labour leadership with a plea for unity and a rejection of the SNP's referendum plans.
The former Enterprise Minister was expected to say: "Whatever disagreements there have been between Labour MPs and MSPs, or Labour MSPs and Labour councillors have to now be put to bed.If we do not move forward together we are letting the people down.
"It was right to challenge Alex Salmond to put the independence question quickly and get it out of the way. But he is not going to.The SNP referendum is rigged. The question is rigged, and the timetable is rigged. We should not support it."
