GP practice awards instituted
TWO new awards are to be presented in the Capital to recognise excellence in General Practice.
The Royal College of General Practitioners in Scotland will present the Patient Award – GP of the Year, which gives patients the chance to praise their doctor.
The RCGP Scotland will also present the Practice Team Award, which acknowledges the work of GP practice teams who achieve the highest standard of patient care. Practice teams as a whole are invited to nominate themselves.
Prizes include a VIP ticket to the awards gala, which will be held at the Braid Hills Hotel in Edinburgh on December 5, and a commemorative award to display in the practice.
Dr Ken Lawton, chair of RCGP Scotland, created the awards.
