Government's £800k alcohol
THE government wine cellar is stocked with alcohol worth almost £800,000, official figures revealed last night.
The cellar contains 39,500 bottles of wine, spirits and liqueurs, Foreign Office minister Gillian Merron disclosed. In a parliamentary answer she added that "small quantities" of beer are bought in for events. She said: "The most recent valuation of the hospitality wine cellar is approximately 792,000.
