Gorgie group in the running
The Gorgie-based Wheatfield Community Backgreen Association is preparing for a visit from the judges of the Beautiful Scotland competition.
The association will be assessed for their environmental achievements within local communities over the last year.
Maria Kelly, from the Gorgie Dalry Community Council, said: "Wheatfield Community Backgreen is doing fantastic work to make the most of the relatively rare green space in the city that can be used by residents."
Sixty five groups from across Scotland will take part in the competition, and winners will be announced at an award ceremony on the Isle of Bute on September 12.
