Good reason for leaving Union

IN HIS letter (9 March) Alexander McKay describes the totalitarian regimes of Yugoslavia and the USSR as “peaceful unions” and contends that the situation within the Union of the United Kingdom is directly comparable to these other unions.

Although he directly equates the UK to Yugoslavia and the USSR, personally I would not go so far. However, as Mr McKay is something of an authority on the Union, if this is true, it seems a compelling argument for leaving it.
