Golfers go a fairway to helping Sick Kids by raising £3,000
A GOLFING event in the city has raised nearly £3,000 for the charity supporting the Sick Kids hospital.
Maureen Harrison, chief executive of the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, said the cash from the Prestonfield Pro Am last week would go towards providing entertainment in the wards at the Sciennes hospital and complementary therapies
She added: "We are extremely grateful to the committee who kindly sponsored the event for the third time, to all the teams who took part and all the staff and club members who put in such a special effort to ensure that a wonderful day was enjoyed by everyone."
