Gold star in school report
A SCHOOL for children with learning difficulties has received an "exceptional" report from inspectors.
Children at Prospect Bank School are said to be happy and enthusiastic and making good progress, while staff were praised for being skilled in ensuring that every child is always busy and actively involved in learning.
Other strengths highlighted by HMIE inspectors included effective leadership across the school and innovative approaches to listening to children's views.
Meg Donaldson, headteacher of Prospect Bank, in Leith, said: "(This] is the result of a huge amount of hard work and it is very encouraging to have our innovative approach to learning, staff commitment and partnership with parents acknowledged."
