Glasgow flat fall: Mother pays tribute to son
THE mother of a four-year-old boy who died after falling from the window of a block of flats has paid tribute to her “beautiful prince”.
Caleb Wallace plunged from the third floor of a building in Pollokshields, Glasgow, at about 10:20am on Friday.
He was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Yorkhill, but died a short time after arriving.
Caleb’s mother, Elayne Wallace, said in a statement released last night by Strathclyde Police: “This tragic accident has taken my beautiful prince from me and my family.
“I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and their tributes to Caleb, but I ask that we be left alone to grieve in private and come to terms with our devastating loss.”
The force is investigating the incident, which happened in St Andrew’s Drive, and a report will be sent to the procurator-fiscal.
