NOT for the first time, a sport that Scotland excels at nationally was given zero coverage in your paper on 26 May 2013.
Although the game is played all the year round – albeit at indoor arenas – it is in summer along with all the other traditionally summer sports that thousands of players participate and yet not even the results from the national leagues were published.
The Commonwealth Games are due in Glasgow 2014 – and Scotland will be expecting to do well in all sectors of bowls – and as a national newspaper, in a sports section the reader might expect some coverage. I wonder how many of your readers enjoyed reading the outcome of an obscure swimming (and diving) competition, rugby league (is it even played in Scotland?) or the Brussels open tennis tournament?
