Law firm Gillespie Macandrew has announced two senior appointments to strengthen its expertise within the energy, strategic land and housebuilding sectors.
Fraser Leslie joins as partner within the energy practice from Bond Dickinson in Aberdeen, while Peter Drummond comes on board as housebuilder associate from McClure Naismith, which fell into administration at the end of last month.
Leslie, who will be based in Edinburgh, has significant experience of acting for land owners and developers in relation to onshore renewables projects, and has also advised major oil operators and service companies.
Drummond has acted for blue-chip commercial clients in connection with site sale and acquisition, contract negotiation and litigation, and will work from Gillespie Macandrew’s Glasgow office. The firm also has a base in Perth.
Chief executive Chris West said: “It is important to us that we continue to attract senior legal figures with the experience and knowledge that Fraser and Peter possess.
“The energy and housebuilder sectors are important to Gillespie Macandrew and we will continue to increase the size of these and other teams to meet the needs of our growing client base.”
