Footballers getting their fresh kicks out of cookery
The restaurant owner has featured on the Great British Menu and Saturday Kitchen as well as being a guest judge and mentor on Masterchef.
He said TV exposure made people think cooking was an easy route to fame, and he’s inundated with requests from players who fail to make the grade.

Hide AdHe said: “There’s two sides to cooking on the telly. It has totally glamorised cooking out of all proportions over the last ten years.
“That’s great because we want the country to be interested in food, we want people to be eating healthily and enjoy eating.”
The chef, who owns The Kitchin in Leith and Castle Terrace Restaurant, added: “I love doing Masterchef. It’s a great wee role I’ve got now.”
