Gates close on ticket cheats

NEW automatic ticket gates are set to start operating at Haymarket Station today.

They are part of a range of measures being introduced by ScotRail to cut down on the number of passengers who travel without tickets.

All passengers boarding and alighting trains will need to pass through the gates, where their ticket will be checked.

Automatic gates have also been installed at Waverley Station and are expected to be operational from next Wednesday.
