Game of the week: Babel Rising

Time to go Old Testament and smite the unworthy. You are a vengeful God, hurling fire and brimstone as your worshippers defy you.

It’s certainly a unique idea, taking the tale of the Tower of Babel and positioning you as the Almighty unleashing rocks, fireballs, whirlwinds, lightning and earthquakes as you try to prevent your followers building a tower to the heavens. The strategy comes in knowing who to attack first and which powers to take into each round; you’ll also find each attack needs time to recharge, so you can’t just go in for button-mashing mayhem but need to think about each wave of destruction. It’s a fun diversion but ultimately repetitive as there just isn’t enough variety.
