A BINGO night to generate funds for teenagers with cancer has raised more than £8,000.

The Roxburgh Hotel event was staged to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, which has a unit at the Sick Kids Hospital and is working on one for the Western General.

Organiser Lynne McNicoll later revealed that she was appealing for volunteers for her next fundraiser – a zipslide in Inverleith Park on September 12

Participants would need to raise 120.
