Free rail travel just the ticket for romantic
A MAN who works in Edinburgh and travels almost 200 miles home to his wife every weekend has received an award.
CrossCountry Trains launched a search last month for the UK's most romantic travellers in time for Valentine's Day.
Bill Noble, who is in his mid-50s and lives in Leith during the week, travels to Harrogate, North Yorkshire, to see wife Debra at weekends.
He has now won first-class rail travel with CrossCountry on his next trip after being named runner-up in the contest.
Mr Noble said: "With the money I saved on the ticket, I have booked a country cottage in Northumberland to meet my wife half-way for a romantic break."
