France gets tough on alcohol

FRANCE is to ban drinking in public near schools and the sale of alcohol to minors as part of a crackdown on binge-drinking among youths. Roselyne Bachelot, the health minister, said

she was also working on a bill to ban promotions known as "open bar" that allow people to drink as much as they want for a fixed price.
