Four new categories make it into Scottish Legal Awards
THE judges in this year's Scottish Legal Awards will consider entries in four categories appearing on the awards roster for the first time or returning to the programme after a break.
As well as prizes for Firm of the Year, and Paralegal of the Year, entries will be considered in the following new slots:
• Young Advocate of the Year, developed to recognise outstanding individuals with up to seven years' experience.
• Specialist Lawyer of the Year seeks to recognise an individual who holds expertise within a specific field for example renewable energy or the media.
• Public Sector Law Team of the Year will recognise a team that offers a consistent and reliable service to local authorities, government or related agencies.
• Training Provider of the Year will reward a post qualification training provider who supports the legal profession through additional qualifications.
• Criteria and guidelines for the Scott + Co Scottish Legal Awards 2010 are available from.thelegalawards.com.
