Four questioned after terrorism raids

FOUR people are being questioned at a Glasgow police station after they were arrested in an anti-terrorism operation, it emerged yesterday.

The three men and a woman were arrested in Renfrewshire on Thursday night.

The four were detained under the Terrorism Act 2000.

A force spokesman said the arrested were "connected to the affairs of Northern Ireland".

"The investigation is in no way linked to the terrorist incidents which took place in London during the summer," he said.

The four are being detained at the high-security Govan station, the designated location for those held under the act.
