Forth Road Bridge repair is ruled out
TRANSPORT Minister Stewart Stevenson has ruled out repairing the existing Forth Road Bridge for all traffic, saying the move would have "severe" economic implications.
Under plans for the new 2 billion Forth crossing, the existing bridge is set to be used by public transport only.
There have been calls to fix corrosion on the bridge and postpone building the new crossing.
