AN oil and gas services company has announced new jobs in Aberdeen and Orkney.
Norwegian-owned Fjords Processing said it is expanding its 33 Scottish staff to target new business in the sector.
Two new employees in Aberdeen will provide operators advice on technology solutions as part of plans to boost activity in the brownfield site market.
The firm’s Orkney hub will take on several staff after expanding its environmental service business.
UK general manager Glen McLellan said: “At a time of general contraction among companies in the North Sea, we have put new staff into Aberdeen to target new business.
“It marks a return for us into that sector and we are being very warmly received by contacts who value our experience and expertise.
“Against a background of curtailed capital spending, production optimisation from brownfield sites is an attractive proposition to field operators.”
The company will outline its strategy to industry representatives during Offshore Europe 2015 in Aberdeen this week.
