First Minister plans to attend student green awards at Zoo
EDINBURGH Zoo is to host Scotland's environmental student awards.
First Minister Alex Salmond will attend the event, sponsored by VisitScotland, in the lecture theatre that forms part of the Budongo Trail.
David Windmill, chief executive of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, said: "We are looking forward to welcoming the First Minister to Edinburgh Zoo and proud to be part of this event.
"As one of Scotland's leading conservation charities we have been assessing our environmental impact and investing resources into creating a greener Zoo.
"We have already made significant improvements."
The event is set to take place on September 10.
