Feast of folk lined up for Hogmanay
THE cream of contemporary Scottish folk artists has been lined up to play Edinburgh's Picture House Hogmanay party.
The new live music venue on Lothian Road will play host to some of Scotland's top folk acts.
Shooglenifty are set to headline the all-star night that includes the trio of Annie Grace, Corrina Hewat and Karine Polwart. Joining them will be the award winning Malinky and ceilidh band Chuting Blancs, featuring Calum McCrimmon, Mike Vass and Anna Massie.
The organisers of the party, which runs from 8pm to 2am on December 31, have also promised a surprise midnight moment for the Bells.
Picture House general manager John Stout said: "We're absolutely thrilled to have this line-up for our very first Hogmanay.
"It's going to be some party."
Tickets for The Picture House Hogmanay party, priced 22.50, are available now from the box office ticket line on 0844 847 1740 or at www.ticketweb.co.uk
