Family wins planning fight
A FAMILY wanting to create land for a taxi and bus business has won its battle with the council.
The Blaikies wanted to change the use of two areas of garden to accommodate a taxi, minibus and coach operation in West Lothian.
Councillors refused them permission, but following an appeal to the Scottish Government, the bid for the space in Broxburn's Drumshoreland Road has been approved.
Holyrood planning reporter Philip Hutchinson was unequivocal in his ruling.
He criticised West Lothian Council for misreading local development plans.
