Families welcome returning troops
SOLDIERS who took part in some of the fiercest recent fighting in Afghanistan have been reunited with their families.
The 33 Armoured Engineer Squadron, 26 Engineer Regiment, flew back to Wiltshire last night after a six-month deployment during the conflict's "bloodiest summer".
The 104 Sappers played a key role in the recent Operation Panther's Claw – a campaign to drive the Taleban from a corner of Helmand Province in southern Afghanistan.
Members of the squadron were welcomed home at Swinton Barracks, Perham Down, Tidworth by their children and partners.
