Fall in number of legal firearms
THE number of legally held guns in Scotland has fallen in the past year, new figures have revealed.
Official statistics showed that 70,410 firearms were held by certificate holders at the end of 2010, a 1 per cent drop compared with 2009. Fewer people now hold a firearms certificate, the total falling by 0.1 per cent to 26,035.
