FACT FILE: T in the Park
Scotland's biggest music festival returns for its fifteenth year, with the now customary array of big names, indie favourites and local wannabes
WHAT?
Every indie band and his post-punk, ironic influence descends on Balado for this three-day colossus, as well as most of Scotland's yoof. The Verve, Stereophonics, Rage Against the Machine, REM, Kings of Leon and a good many more are playing, making it an A-Z of pop from Amy Winehouse to the Zutons. Voted the UK's best major festival, this remains the big daddy of them all.
Festival frenzy: if you think boutique festivals are for posho wimps
Festival flop: if you dislike an hourly lager shower
