Ethnic elderly mistreated

BLACK and ethnic minority elderly people are not treated well but are unlikely to do anything about it, because of shame, dependency, fear, or a lack of alternatives, research suggested yesterday.

The Age Concern Scotland study found 62 per cent were not treated well, either in their families or more widely. The most common mistreatment was "lack of respect".
