Erskine gift will increase care
THE Edinburgh Erskine Home, which provides specialist care for ex-service men and women, has received a donation of £750,000 from the RAF Benevolent Fund (RAFBF).
Sir Robert Wright, controller of RAFBF, presented Jim Scott, the chairman of Erskine, with the cash yesterday. The handover coincided with the launch of the RAFBF's 90th anniversary celebrations.
It will go towards building an extension at the Erskine Edinburgh Home, which will see the home double in size to offer 48 beds. It is due for completion later this year.
