Wind farm reporter
will take to skies

A SCOTTISH Government reporter is to take to the skies before deciding if a wind farm should be build near the Cairngorm National Park.

Jill Moody is to take a helicopter trip over the site in the new year – and also walk the hills – to assess the wind farm’s impact. Protesters had warned the scheme could wreck one of the most unspoilt landscapes in the country.

The Scottish Government ordered a public inquiry into the plan for 31 turbines near Monarch of the Glen country. It was held in the autumn, and Mrs Moody is now preparing her report.
