AN ABANDONED otter cub is recovering after being taken in by an animal charity.
Eight-week-old Dipper was found in distress in Methven, Perthshire, a week ago.
The cub is now being looked after by the Scottish SPCA at its rescue centre in Clackmannanshire.

The charity said the man who came across Dipper left the cub alone overnight to give its mother a chance to return, but when he checked in the morning she was still distressed and calling out.
Centre manager Colin Seddon said: “Dipper was too young to be out of her holt so it’s amazing she survived a very cold night in the wild.
“She was extremely weak, but after fluid therapy we’re delighted to say she is doing much better.
“She is now stronger, feeding well from her bottle and wants to play, which we would expect for a cub of her age.
“Dipper will stay here until she is at least a year old and we’re hopeful she’ll then be successfully returned to the wild.”
