Riddle of the Sun: it’s far too round
A MYSTERY surrounds the shape of the Sun – it is just too perfectly round, University of Hawaii scientists have found.
They discovered the star is one of the roundest objects ever measured. Having no solid surface, the Sun’s rotation should make it slightly flattened, but the flattening have been found to be much smaller than expected.
