Photo award shots on show

The sixth annual Nature Photography awards are to be hosted by the Scottish Seabird Centre in East Lothian.

Duelling insects, a ladybird launching from a leaf and a reflective mountain scene are among the subjects of striking photographs on display.

Entries from Germany and Spain secured first and second place positions.

Some 278 entries were received, including 40 for the junior competition, making it the highest number ever.

The shortlisted entries and winners will be on show at the Seabird Centre until March 4.
