Irish PM gets buzz for green energy

THE United Kingdom needs to increase its investment in renewable energy, Ireland’s prime minister has said.

Enda Kenny met with his British, Scottish, Northern Irish and Welsh counterparts during talks in Cardiff yesterday. Items on the agenda were the economy, Europe and education. During a press conference, Mr Kenny said energy and the environment would be the big topics that would need to be discussed next time the home nations’ leaders got around the table. He said: “We believe there is great potential for renewable energy, particularly onshore wind.”
