Don’t waste fun day of recycling

Family fun is promised at the waste education cabin rolling into the Capital on Monday.

Visitors to the cabin, at Seafield Community Recycling Centre between 11am and 3pm, will be treated to a guided tour of the centre, with a chance to see the machinery at work.

The free event also includes activities such as how to make a waste-free picnic, checking out the beasties living in compost heaps, and arts and crafts fun with scrap waste material.

There’s also the chance to take part in competitions, with prizes and freebies up for grabs.
