Entries sought for golf event
ONE of the most unique sporting events on the city calendar is open for entries.
The Leith Rules Golf Hickory Open will go ahead this year on July 5 at a specially-made course on Leith Links. Players are expected to don traditional golf attire and play around the temporary course with classic hickory clubs.
The event is designed to preserve the memory of Leith Links being the site of the first ever game of golf played by official rules.
