Radcliffe to reveal naked truth for Ginsberg role

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he is to bare all once more – and has been told to avoid any intimate grooming.

The actor has already stripped off on-stage in London’s West End and on Broadway for Equus.

The 22-year-old is lined up to play beat poet Allen Ginsberg in John Krokidas’ upcoming thriller Kill Your Darlings.

Radcliffe told Heat magazine: “I’ve just been having a discussion with the guy who’s directing my new project. It might have a bit of nudity, and he said, ‘Just to let you know, if you’re getting naked, no landscaping of any kind. This is the 40s and you’re playing a Jew.’”

Radcliffe – currently to be seen in cinemas in horror film The Woman In Black – said he has no qualms about screen nudity. He added “I’m comfortable with my body.”

But Radcliffe joked that he would never be able to compete with his buff Harry Potter co-star Rupert Grint.

“I’m not going to try to compete with Rupert on the arms front,” Radcliffe said.

“His dad is a big guy, so if anyone was going to get the proper muscleman build, it was Rupert.

“You’d have to search pretty hard to find a more handsome ginger.”
